Dear Annie, January 18 2024, “I’m getting bad vibe from co-worker who stands too close, stares too long.”
Annie misses and it's actually dangerous.

My take: To recap, the LW is terrified of a colleague who stares at her “unrelenting[ly]” all day long, but she thinks her hands are tied because he “hasn’t done anything.”
Read the whole letter. Annie isn’t alarmed enough. Staring is not “doing nothing.” The LW should tell her creepy colleague to quit staring at her, she should tell him to stand back when he’s too close, and she should ask her manager to move him to a different desk. I don’t know whether staring is recognized as a form of stalking, but she should find out, and if it is, she should notify the police.
Yikes.
Chance this letter is fake: It’s gotten to the point where the LW looks for the starer’s car in the parking lot before she heads into work, and “dread[s]” the days when she finds it there. This letter is frighteningly real.
